The Burden of Oppression
As we begin our study of Habakkuk’s prophecy this morning with Habakkuk 1:1-4, we see two fundamental truths that frame the prophet’s message: (1) Sin is sin; (2) God is God. From those rather obvious-sounding points, we hope to see that despite the fact that God’s people suffer under the curse of sin (indwelling them and surrounding them), the Lord God reigns over everything and cares intimately for His people.
From Death to Life
Guest pastor, Andrew Moody, delivers to us the word today from Ephesians 2:1-7.
Paul: Ambassador to Rome
Our final sermon in Acts, Acts 28:17-31 teaches us how the life of Christ was manifested through Paul and continues to be manifested in our own day as we announce the Kingdom of God to a dying world. We see three characteristics of our work as ambassadors for Jesus’ Kingdom in this passage: (1) consistency; (2) commitment: and, (3) courage.
Unity Through Christ-like Humility
Today’s message from Philippians 2:1-11 is brought to us by our guest speaker, Paul Miller.
The Home Stretch
Today’s passage in Acts 28:1-16 teaches us two realities: (1) the reality of our union with Christ; and, (2) the reality of Christ’s providence.
