A Charge to Elders

Acts 20:13-38 teaches us three things about Godly leadership: (1) the focus of leadership (17-27); (2) the duty of leadership (28-31); and, (3) the means of leadership (32-38). We will learn that the focus of leadership is the proclamation of repentance and faith; the duty of leadership is the protection of the propositions of the Gospel; and, the means of leadership is the Word of God.

A Sandwich of Encouragement

Acts 20:1-12 teaches us aspects of encouragement available for God’s people: (1) encouragement in the midst of opposition; (2) encouragement in the midst of poverty; and, (3) encouragement in the midst of death.

Worship War in Ephesus

Acts19:21-41 shows us three things about the religion of the City of Man: (1) idolatry leads to worship wars, (2) idolatry produces a culture of confusion; and, (3) the only remedy for idolatry is the truth of the gospel.

The Shaking of Ephesus

Acts 19:1-20 teaches us some principles about true, Biblical revival: (1) Spirit, not method; (2) Word, not works; and, (3) Repentance, not moralism.

True revival has this Biblical mark: So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.
